NXE Avatars
20 Nov 2008 | Comments (3)Microsoft released their New Xbox Experience (NXE) a few days ago and I’m liking it so far. The NXE replaces the “blade” interface of the Xbox 360 and adds some cool features like easier navigation, game installs and cool new avatars. Blah, blah, blah… For those of you who aren’t savvy, an avatars is basically a user’s representation of himself/herself for use in games or on the internet.
Anyways, I was playing around and made my avatar. It’s not perfect yet, but it kinda looks like me. What do you think?
MINI Style
04 Nov 2008 | Comments (1)Well, I just picked up the new issue of MINI Style Magazine and was pleasantly surprised to see that the pictures taken at MINI Circuit Day 2008 made it in! That’s right! On page 17 there is a nice little story about our MINI’s custom work and a few nice pictures too! I feel so famous.
Halloween Fiesta
21 Oct 2008 | Comments (2)This past weekend Azusa and I had a Halloween party at our house for the people in my grade office. Mexican food isn’t very common in Japan so we made fajitas, burritos and nachos for everybody! They were a big hit! It was sort of a Halloween Fiesta!!! Everybody was really happy to meet Azusa and they all seemed to enjoy Hikone! It’s funny, but my co-workers said that coming to Hikone is like going on a weekend trip to a far away place! Heck, I make the commute from Hikone to Kyoto everyday!
There aren’t many good Mexican restaurants in Japan, but in recent years I’ve been able to find steady supplies of re-fried beans, taco shells, seasoning, tortillas, suitable cheese and even nachos! The best thing is that most of it can even be bought locally in Hikone now! Things have really changed since these days.
