Anyways, before I left Japan Azusa gave me an envelope and said not to open it before my birthday. I’ve been starring at the envelope since I got to America wondering what was inside, but now I know! It was a beautiful card, a tiny cake from Hikone and a picture! Azusa always makes me feel special on my birthday! Even from the other side of the world!!!

]]> Well, I’ve been in Michigan for about 2 weeks now and time is really flying by. I’m having a lot of fun, but I really miss Azusa. I can’t wait to see her next week when I go back to Japan! There are a lot of things I could say about this trip, but perhaps the most interesting thing to me is the reverse culture shock that I experience every time I come back to the US. You know… Things change and since I haven’t been back to America in almost two years it seems that a lot has changed! It’s starting to wear off now, but for the first few days I almost felt like a foreigner in America!

The only really bad thing is that Azusa can’t make it this time because she has to work. I’m super sad, but maybe we will come together this Christmas.

I’m really looking forward to seeing all my family and friends! It’s been almost 2 years since my last visit!!! I am dying to go shopping for some new shoes and jeans too. Can’t get my sizes in Japan at all! I also told my co-workers to expect a larger, rounder Jeff when I return to Japan because I plan on eating Taco Bell and pizza everyday! Well, maybe not everyday…
