Hatsumode MINI Meeting

21 Jan 2008 |

It’s been a really long time since Azusa and I have participated in a MINI Cooper owner’s club meeting. I guess its because the main club, Club R50, was disbanded over two years ago. Apparently, R50 got too big and there were too many events for the organizers to deal with. It’s too bad, really. R50 was super fun.

This year Azusa and I went to our MINI dealer’s Christmas party and we saw some of our old R50 friends. We all decided that it would be great to get together and have a MINI meeting again, even if just a small one. So, when we heard about the Hatsumode MINI Meeting we got really excited.

The meeting was a great success and it was great to see everybody again. So many people were surprised to see me because they all assumed that I must have went home to America. Nope! I’m still here! There were only 8 cars this time as opposed to the usual 30 or so, but the low number made it easier to cruise through the streets of Hikone. It was great!

Hatsumode MINI Meeting!

We all parked at Hikone Bunka Plaza on our way to lunch. Extra points if you know which MINI is ours!!!

Your Mini is the groovy blue one fifth from the front of the picture. Am I right?

Actually… Our MINI is the first one in the row. Sorry!!! You probably didn’t recognize it because I have different wheels with snow tires on it right now.

  3. Bryan Says:

Ahhhh…..snow tires on the other rims…..indeed I did not think of that….

I knew it was the first one because Jeff is always the first or last to arrive!
