A while back we mentioned that there would be some big news in August and we weren’t joking. So without further delay, I’m just going to blurt it out!

Azusa and I bought a mansion!!!

A mansion???

Yes, a mansion! Well, that’s what it’s called in Japanese at least. I’d say the proper English equivalent is more like, “condo” or something to that effect. Anyways, it’s a great place and it’s right here in Hikone.

Moving day is scheduled for October 6th, which is the beginning of a nice three-day weekend here in Japan. Hopefully we will be able to get situated in that amount of time.

In the mean time, I’ll try to post some construction pictures and stuff. I’ve been checking out the building process for a few months now and have it pretty well documented. Check back soon!

Not 20 Anymore

This past weekend was my 30th birthday. Wait a second! Did I say 30??? As in 30 years old? How can this be??? I’m not twenty-something anymore? 30?

Hmm…

Yeah… I guess I am. No big deal… 30, huh? Cool.

Anyways, Azusa and I spent the weekend in Yokohama and what a great weekend it was! Azusa always goes all out for my birthday and this time was no exception! A nice stroll around the Yokohama waterfront, dinner at Hard Rock Cafe and we even went to see a movie! Thanks baby!

Just a quick news flash that we’ve actually been improving Japanamac behind the scenes this week. All of the galleries are up and running again and they are all linked together properly now. That was a big job! You may notice some enhancements in the speed and look of the galleries as well. We can thank the recent release of Apple’s iLife ‘08 for that!

We have also added some new pictures to the rotating bar at the top of this page. Just hit refresh on your web browser a few times and they should randomly appear.

Now if I could just get that story about the Gion Festival up…
