Mt. Fuji
19 Mar 2007 | Comments OffIt’s been a while since Azusa and I have enjoyed a full weekend together. It seems that one of us is always working on either Saturday or Sunday. Thankfully this past weekend was different. We both had two full days of glorious vacation!
So? What did we do with our precious time, you ask? Well… We went to visit one of Japan’s most famous and iconic destinations. It’s a place that everybody who visits or lives in Japan should see at least once. That’s right! We went to see Mt. Fuji! How’s that for using your vacation time wisely?
This is the view of Mt. Fuji from Lake Kawaguchi. It’s funny, but when we arrived on Saturday afternoon we couldn’t even see the mountain because there was a huge grey cloud covering the entire area. We asked the people at the hotel where Mt. Fuji was and if you could even see it from the lake and they looked at us like we were crazy! Thanks to the clear skies on Sunday morning we found out why…
