Leopard
26 Oct 2007 |Sometimes living in Japan has its advantages. For example, we are 14 hours ahead of Michigan time. Usually it doesn’t make any difference, but today it gives me bragging rights over my friends back home! You see, today Apple released its newest operating system, Leopard. It seems that we have been waiting for it for ages, but now it’s finally here!!! Well, in Japan at least!!!
As I write this post, I figure that my friends in America still have to wait at least another 9 hours to get their hands on Apple’s newest wild cat. Poor guys! Hang in there!!!
But seriously, in my brief two hour romp through Apple’s newest operating system I have to say that I’m pretty impressed. It seems a lot faster and more polished than I had expected. It also made my previously noisy Mac Pro as quiet as a sleeping baby! It’s almost like having a new Mac! I wonder how I ever lived without the new “Quick Look” feature although I’m still a little unsure about Apple’s use of a transparent menu bar. All things considered, it’s looking like Leopard was well worth the wait and a must-have upgrade to anybody with a modern Mac.
