Random Updates
27 Sep 2004 | Comments (1)I don’t know what’s worse, being super busy or being super bored. When you work at a Japanese high school it’s either one or the other. This week the students are taking exams, leaving me with no classes to teach and no work to do. I guess I should be thankful; last week I had a schedule that would make most people cry.
Anyways, today is Monday and I’m sitting here at my desk staring into space. It’s raining today so I don’t think taking a vacation day is in my best interest. I have to save those for when the weather is nice and I can take pictures outside. Instead, I think I’ll take a little time to update Japanamac. I’ve been meaning to add some Kanji to the database as well as some new pictures for the rotating banner. Check back later today to see the changes!
Picture of the Week
26 Sep 2004 | Comments (3)This photo was taken in Taga as the local train passed by. I admit that it’s not the most interesting photo I’ve ever posted, but it is special. When I took this picture I was testing out the auto focus and continuous shutter speed on my new Canon EOS 20D. These small trains are super fast so you can image how happy I was that the camera could keep up. Indeed, the EOS 20D has blown away all my expectations. I guess that makes this the picture of the week!

Hawaii Gallery
07 Sep 2004 | Comments (1)This morning we had yet another aftershock from Sunday’s earthquake. If that wasn’t enough, this evening Typhoon #18 reached Shiga… It’s pretty bad out there right now! Anyways, amidst all the chaos, we still managed to get the Hawaii picture gallery put together… Please check it out by clicking here. Hope you enjoy it!

This picture was taken from the window of a helicopter. Check out the gallery to see more! Don’t forget, there are two pages of Hawaii pictures!
