Earthquakes
05 Sep 2004 | Comments (2)Like most Midwesterners, I’ve never really experienced an earthquake. Not until tonight that is. Tonight there were two pretty big earthquakes off the coast of Japan. The first quake was a 6.8 magnitude and the second was a 7.3. They were pretty far away from Shiga, but it was still enough to give us about 4.0 magnitude backlash here in Hikone. Azusa says that it wasn’t too bad, but it sure scared the heck out of me. Really, the whole house shook for about 40 seconds. Thankfully we had no damage though. Except my nerves, maybe…
Aloha!
03 Sep 2004 | Comments OffWell, Azusa and I are finally back from Hawaii. It was a pretty cool trip! We toured Hawaii by car, helicopter and submarine! No joke! We actually got to stay an extra day in Hawaii because there was a typhoon in Japan that made travel conditions dangerous… I guess it was a pretty bad storm. I’m glad we were basking in the Hawaiian sun instead!
Anyways, we will be posting a gallery of pictures that we took in Hawaii pretty soon… The problem is that we took so many pictures! We have to sort through them all and decide what to post. For now though, here’s some palm trees to help you relax!
