Taga
16 Aug 2004 |On Saturday, Azusa and I went for a drive around Taga Town. Taga, which borders Hikone City to the east, is rich with beautiful scenery and mountains. It’s really a great place to see the natural side of Japan. Anyways, we visited the Kawachi Wind Hole and the Otaki Shrine. They were both great places and I’m sure we’ll go back in the future.
The Kawachi Wind Hole really isn’t a hole at all. It’s a limestone cave and a big one at that! Almost 3,320 meters of extension! Azusa and I were a little afraid to enter at first, but the cool air escaping from the cave’s mouth lured us in. What can I say? It was a hot day! Outside the cave is a beautiful stream that runs down the mountain through the forest. Just beautiful…
