04 Dec 2003 | Comments (1)If you live in Japan, you’ve probably heard the tragic tale about the untimely death of my beloved Apple 12″ Powerbook… It’s just a laptop, but let me tell you… I sure am sad. The story is too traumatizing for me to recount here, so let’s just say that the Powerbook had an accident that it never recovered from…
I took the Powerbook to the Mac hospital where the doctors, err… I mean technicians, fought desperately to save its life. They worked for hours, but to no avail… The Powerbook would never boot again. They did manage to save the hard drive though… Anyways, the final report (death notice) on the Powerbook came from Kyoto a few days ago. I was hoping Sofmap would give me some money for the salvageable parts, but they can’t… Apple’s warranty doesn’t cover accidents, so I am pretty much out of luck…
Well, I feel a little lost without a laptop now… I did almost all of my work on it at school. Now I’m stuck using the school’s sub-standard Windows based PCs again… Poo… My productivity is grinding to a halt!
