Delays
11 Nov 2003 |I’ve been waiting so patiently for Internet at my new house, but this is getting ridiculous!!! It’s been about three weeks now and NTT just informed me that my Internet won’t be turned on until next week. Next week??? What?
I really don’t see what the problem is… It should only take a few days.
What this and many other situations really boil down to is bureaucracy… It’s hard to get anything done fast in Japan because there are so many departments that have to have their cut of the action… Why? I wish I knew… Anyways, this form of Japanese bureaucracy leads to loads of paperwork and lots of miscommunication… The simplest things instantly become huge, complicated problems. What does that mean for the average consumer? Delays, delays and more delays… Poo…

I must admit I’ve remained a silent visitor to this site for around half a year now, with a keen interest in Macs and Japan it was great to find site combining this sorts with a few other flavours thrown in for variety. All the sites so far have been great and the photography on this, as mentioned by another, is absolutely superb. Good luck with getting your ‘net up and running, and most of all thanks for the site! :).
