Weekend Trip

Today we went to Japan’s ancient capital, Nara. Nara Prefecture is an inland prefecture surrounded by the four prefectures of Osaka to the west, Kyoto to the north, Wakayama to the south and Mie to the east.

In Nara we saw Daibutsu, the biggest statue of Buddah in Japan. It’s actually 15 meters tall and weighs 25 tons. Man, that’s one big Buddah! The building it is located in is the world’s largest wooden structure. Amazing…
